What is a gated checkpoint in a Dovient SOP?

A blocking step that requires proof before the tech can advance. The checkpoint can require a photo, a technician signature, a numerical reading (with min / max / target), or a checklist. Until the proof is captured, the Next button stays disabled. That is the mechanism that makes an SOP actually auditable instead of a checkbox exercise.

Can I version and approve SOPs?

Yes. Every SOP walks through a multi-version workflow: DRAFT → PENDING_REVIEW → PENDING_APPROVAL → APPROVED → PUBLISHED. Reviewers and approvers leave notes on each transition. Superseded versions are preserved so audit trails never lose history.

Does Dovient support decision branches in an SOP?

Yes. Steps can be DECISION nodes that branch based on a tech's answer. A tech answers 'pressure below spec? yes/no' and the SOP routes them to the correct next step. You can nest child steps, add estimated time per step, required PPE, safety warnings, required parts, and tool lists.
