Chemical feed pumps deserve attention
Small metering pumps feeding chlorine, sodium hypochlorite, or sodium hydroxide are the unsung hero of most plants. They fail in quiet ways (a check valve that stops sealing, a diaphragm that cracks, an air-lock that stops the stroke) and by the time operations notice, residuals have drifted. Inspect metering pumps on a schedule and verify their output with a calibration column periodically.
