PM Program Maturity Assessment

Before building anything, you need to know where you stand. Answer these 8 questions honestly to determine your current maturity level and where to focus your energy.

Reactive (8-15)

Start at Section 2. Build criticality ranking first.

Emerging (16-23)

You have basics. Move to Section 3 for the PM task library.

Proactive (24-31)

Solid foundation. Focus on Sections 5-6 for optimization.

Optimized (32-40)

Strong program. Use Section 7 for KPI refinement.

Equipment Criticality Ranking System

Not all equipment deserves the same level of PM attention. This scoring system helps you allocate your limited maintenance resources where they matter most.

Scoring Formula

Criticality Score = Production Impact (1-5) x Failure Frequency (1-5) x Detection Difficulty (1-5)

Critical (40+): Weekly/bi-weekly PM. Predictive monitoring. Insurance spares on-site.
Important (15-39): Monthly PM. Standard spare parts. Documented procedures.
Standard (<15): Quarterly PM or run-to-fail with backup plan.

PM Task Library

This is the most hands-on section: ready-to-use PM tasks for 6 common equipment types. Each task includes what to do, how often, estimated time, skill level required, and parts needed. Use these as your starting point and adjust based on your specific equipment and operating conditions.

IMPORTANT

Score: 3 x 3 x 3 = 27

Monthly PM. Standard spare parts stocked. Written SOPs available. Include in quarterly vibration route. Review PM findings to optimize frequency.
